From the 1950's to the early 90's, these singing Pigs enthralled the World with their cover versions of classics from The Beatles to Frank Sinatra .. in the authors opinion superior versions.

The singing and dancing twins had a series of TV shows and were part of the British Pirate boom of the 60's, along side Radio Caroline & 'Big L' Radio London .... They had a Pirate TV station called P&PTV on Channel 2 & half. The location of this Pirate station was always thought to be in a cellar under the BBC but I can now reveal it was in fact based on board the Pirate Concrete Barge based at Canvey Island Point, Essex, UK.

Unnoticed before .. this 7" EP cover clearly shows our Piggy friends doing what so many Canvey families did - play on the Ferro Concrete Barge much to the annoyance of the local drinking club.

Things came to a head when on the dreaded May 22nd 2003 (unknown by the locals as "522") the Barge, veteran of the D-Day landings, was bruitally destroyed without warning.

The image of this EP cover is for sale to help fund the website http://www.concretebarge.co.uk/ that was set up as a memorial to this now gone Canvey Heritage Landmark.
