"Concrete Barge of Love" was introduced by http://www.concretebarge.co.uk/ in
May 2003 into its British Collection - Great Britain, England, UK.
She was introduced to commemerate the destruction of THE Canvey
Concrete Barge on 22nd May 2003 (alas 5/22).
This unusual ferro concrete barge was inspired by a similar
17th-century 'Dutch house' from Canvey Island Lilliput ornament
called 'Circle of love'. An ideal romantic gift for
your loved one or maybe an ideal object to throw within a stone
throw of a crow flying.
This piece is in mint condition and comes with the original box
and deeds. Height 2.5 c.m. Well actually it doesn't. Unfortunately
this model didn't get made because Jacko's clay got
wet and his wife made him throw it away .. I quote
"Either that stinking mess goes or I do".
The best I can offer is the rights to sell this idea to Lilliput
so they can make a fortune in selling these models to her fans such
as the Island Yacht Club and a Concrete Barge Spotters Society based
in Prittlewell.
I represent the Canvey Island Ferro Concrete Barge Presevation
Society that was formed on May 21st 2003 and disbanded
on May 23rd when we discovered they had demolished the bloody
thing. For full details on all Concrete Barge related news
and sob stories visit http://www.concretebarge.co.uk/
otherwise please bid for this concept and help the site by contributing
towards a packet of malteesers I can eat whilst thinking up stupid
ideas for the site.
